A stylish female with soft handling fleece and perfect conformation. Sire is Peruvian K-2; Accoyo Arctic on the Dam’s side.
Kate's fleece is very fine while maintaining reasonable density - - and an impressive 9 crimps per inch. Her 2006 micron test shows Kate with an 18.40 AFD at three years of age.
But Kate is also a 'Kingmaker' in that she makes large, perfectly proportioned offspring with fleece that tests 1-3 microns less than the sire at the same age. That's a nice trait if you throw a male from a worthy sire.
Breeding Strategy: Kate is an ultrafine that throws large offspring...these are good things. Like most ultrafines, Kate could use more density, and thus a breeding to Gino, the atomic bomb of dense. Her male offspring (Mushroom Cloud) already makes this strategy look like a huge success...Gino density and coverage with Kates super numbers.
Seems like that is worth trying again...
