A stylish female with soft handling fleece and perfect conformation. Sire is Peruvian K-2; Accoyo Arctic on the Dam’s side.
Kate's fleece is very fine while maintaining reasonable density - - and an impressive 9 crimps per inch. Her 2006 micron test shows Kate with an 18.40 AFD at three years of age.
But Kate is also a 'Kingmaker' in that she makes large, perfectly proportioned offspring with fleece that tests 1-3 microns less than the sire at the same age. That's a nice trait if you throw a male from a worthy sire.
Take a look at My Peruvian Gino, who finished 2nd at the AOBA Nationals. Nice fleece. But his son by Kate (GGA Mushroom Cloud) has the same fleece that is TWO TO THREE MICRONS FINER by age, every year.
Kate produced C-4 when bred to ultrafine Hemingway's Tequila. C-4 had an initial micron count of 13.7 as measured by Yocum McColl.
Kate has thrown four boys for four breedings so far...but three have been 'keepers'. She may well throw a girl some day, but it seems that Kate's true value is to make stud males that are better than the stud males bred to her...which makes her extremely valuable.
Her fourth boy is by Hemingway's Pride, and an extremely handsome looking male. We're pretty confident of his future.
All bred females come with one free breeding; 'open' females come with two free breedings.
